Braehead Primary Grounds for Learning Group
We are a group of volunteer parents that help to improve the grounds of Braehead Primary School. The group liase with the eco-committee pupils, staff and the parent council to find out what they would like in their school grounds. We have purchased plants and equipment by raising funds through grants, donations and taking part in the school fete. Once a term we like to organize a family event where any child can take part if accompanied by a parent/carer. These events are free and can vary from litter picking, planting, pruning, or weeding. They include refreshments and toilet facilities. Sometimes we take photographs at these events which are used in the local Stirling Observer and for producing a slide show within the school for the pupils. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken then inform a member of the committee, who will introduce themselves at the start of the event.
Our next family event will be 1.30pm – 3pm Saturday 11 September 2010. It will be a tidy up of the school grounds and we will be making butterfly, bird and bug boxes. All welcome. If you are interested in either joining this group as a member or would just like to attend family events then please print off the slip below, stating your preference and return it to the school office.
